The good stuff....

I think that Reese just realized that we have been holding out on her! We had lasagna last night, and she thought that it was pret-ty good!! Forget the baby food...I want REAL food now!!

Happy Birthday to Ashton!

We started Ashton's birthday celebration with a manicure and pedicure on Friday! I made her a deal awhile ago that we would go and get our nails done if she quit biting her nails, and she did it! This was her 1st time to get a manicure and pedicure, and she loved it!! They even painted flowers on her fingers and toes! Very cute!

Then, Grammy and Papa got into town, and they gave Ashton her present a day early! A new bike!! It is big and pink, and she really likes it a lot!! Thanks, Grammy and Papa!!

Ashton woke up on Saturday morning and said "I'm 4 years old!". She was so excited!! We sang Happy Birthday at breakfast, and we gave Ashton an ATM machine toy and a princess sticker book!! Here she is enjoying her B-day bagel!

We had Ashton's 4th Birthday party at Monkey Bizness (a bounce house place w/ a rock climbing wall)! Everyone had a great time...including some of the parents! We came back home after lots of jumping and playing, pizza and cake, and Ashton opened presents!! She got SO many fun things! Thank you to everyone!!

Then, we had family and friends over, and we got Lupe's fajitas, enchiladas and margaritas for dinner! YUM!! After such a big day, Ashton stayed with Grammy and Papa at the hotel! What a treat.

When Ashton got home this morning, we surprised her with her present from us!! A BARBIE JEEP!! She was very surprised and LOVES it!!

I would say that our little princess had a vey special birthday!! Happy 4th Birthday, Ashton!!

The Birthday girl...

We took donuts to school yesterday for Ashton's birthday! We were going to take cupcakes, but they had 2 birthdays to celebrate. This was extra special because Johnny was able to go with us!! Ashton was very excited to celebrate with her friends!! She had a b-day ribbon and a crown!! She has been so excited about turning 4!! 1 more day...YEA!!

l love Spring!!

I am SO excited that Spring is here!! Spring is my favorite time of the year...beautiful weather, playing outside, pretty flowers blooming, eating outside, playing at the park, picnics, ice cream, and the list goes on! We have been outside a lot lately enjoying the beautiful weather, and I have been taking A LOT of pics of the girls!! I hope you are all enjoying Spring too!!

We have a house!!

As a matter of fact, we have 2 houses!

It is pretty darn final at this point! We are moving back to the DFW area. We headed to Dallas again for the weekend, and we bought a house in Frisco! YEA!!

Do you know of anyone moving to Cypress? If so, we have got a great house for them!!

Our family was GREAT this past weekend!! My parents and Johnny's Mom watched Reese, and Aunt Julie and Uncle Patrick took Ashton to the zoo with her cousins! Ashton had a GREAT time at the zoo, and Reese enjoyed getting held and spoiled!!

Also, Johnny's Dad was a BIG help in finding our new home!!

We're back....

YEA!! Reese is feeling all better, and we have no choice but to move full speed ahead!

Did I mention that our house is on the market? YEP. Not sure exactly where we are going to live just yet. I am just hoping to sell our house quickly! We put it on the market last Monday, and we had 3 showings last week. I was surprised that we didn't have 1 showing on Saturday or Sunday. We have another showing scheduled from 11:30-1 today. Let's hope that we don't have to do this too much longer!! It stresses me out to have my house on the market! As soon as I get it picked up, there is another mess being made! Ugggh...

We are going to get out today! Ashton is on Spring Break!! It is supposed to rain all week, but I see sunshine!! Maybe the weatherman was wrong. I am thinking that a little shopping will make us all feel better!! Then, we are meeting Johnny for lunch. Should be fun!!

We're home!!

Well, I ended up calling the pediatrician for the 2nd time yesterday to check on Reese. She had only taken 3-4 oz of fluids, and I was worried about her! They had me come into the after hours clinic at 7:00. It came as a very big surprise when they told me that they wanted to admit her into the hospital! I said "Are you sure?". She was dehydrated, and the doctor felt like she definitely needed some iv fluids.

So, we waited for orders, and I called Johnny to meet us at the hospital. I was very nervous about my baby going into the hospital! Johnny got Ashton packed up, and Amy Parker was a lifesaver! She let Ashton have a sleepover, took her to gymnastics, and took them to get McDonald's and to the park afterwards! She had a blast at Camp Parker...Thank you, Amy!!

Let me just tell you, a trip to the hospital with my baby tops the list as one of the worst experiences in parenting! It was bad enough that she felt so bad and was crying off and on. Then, they began the poking and prodding! They had to stick her 3 times to draw blood while her arms were velcroed to her side! She was beyond mad! I haven't ever seen her cry or shake so much! Then, they had to put an iv on the top of her foot and a splint to keep it in place! I had to sit down a couple times because I began to feel shaky and light-headed. It was so hard to watch my baby go through that! Finally, they had to put a bag on her to get a urine sample. Enough is enough already! I don't blame her for being so mad! She had 103 temperature last night and had a rough night! Johnny, Reese and I all slept in the twin hospital bed, and we were awake most of the night. Just when she would fall asleep, they would come in for vitals, to check the iv, etc.

Reese was feeling much better this evening and was even pulling her blanket over her head to play peek-a-boo! When our doctor came in, Reese spit her paci out and said "bye bye" and started waving! He said that she was doing much better, and we were free to go home! YEA!! We are all very happy to be home!!

Sweet little angel!

Well, we didn't have a very good start to our day! Reese woke up early. So, we brought her into our bed and gave her a bottle. She didn't seem very interested. So, we were just laying there snuggling when she got sick! I gave her a bath, and I took a quick shower! Well, what I thought was drainage turned out to be a stomach bug (I think)! She got sick 3 more times followed by a couple yucky diapers. She has also had a low grade fever and slept most of the day! Poor baby! I think she is feeling a little better because she is actually sitting on the floor playing with toys. Now, I just need to figure out how to get some more fluids in her! Oh, my little princess needs her Mommy! Better go!!

BUENO!!

We just got to Dallas last night! We actually made really good time!! Johnny kept saying "Maybe we shouldn't stop since the traffic is moving so well!" That was fine by me since I really wasn't very hungry yet anyways. The great thing about waiting is that we were able to get TACO BUENO for dinner!! YUMMY!! That is always a must when we come to Dallas since we don't have TB in Houston. I love a bean burrito and Mexi Dips and chips! It is definitely the little things that make me happy!
