Tis the Season...

I am just a little behind after a busy weekend! Johnny and I went out to dinner and to do a little shopping on Friday, his company Family Christmas Party on Saturday & the Cowboys game on Sunday!

Before all of that, Ashton's Christmas Program and Party was on Friday! She did a very good job singing, and the party was a lot of fun too! They had Krispy Kreme donuts, and Reese was excited to get one too! Then, one of the Moms read the Christmas story, did a very cute wooden plaque that the kids got to decorate with sequins (I love it!), played pin the star on the Christmas tree and did a book exchange! Ashton was very excited about her new Enchanted book! Now, we really need to go see the movie! Oh yeah, the picture of the little boy is Gavin! He was Ashton's boyfriend for a short time, but he is now Erin's boyfriend. Ashton said that she doesn't like Erin anymore because she stole her boyfriend! How funny is that! He is going to be a heartbreaker one day with those eyes! Little cutie!
Can you believe that Christmas is only 1 week from today? WOW!!

Why won't it go?

I don't think that Reese realizes just how small the remote control barbie car is! Funny girl!

PJ Day

Today was PJ Day at Ashton's school, and they also got to watch Eddie Coker in concert! I haven't ever seen him, but I have heard that the music he sings is very silly and a lot of fun! We bought a CD so I will be all too familiar here pretty soon!

TGIF baby...Hope you all have a fun weekend!!

The Magic Elf

I forgot to tell you all about our Magic Elf! He showed up on the morning of December 1st with the Magic Elf book and a surprise for Ashton and for Reese! The elf listens all day long, reports the behavior to Santa, moves to a new spot & brings a surprise to the girls...as long as they were good girls!! Ashton was SO excited when she found the elf the first day, and she wants to go to bed at night so that she can find the elf the next day!!

What a fun tradition!!

Santa Baby!

We went to visit Santa twice over the weekend! The first time, we stood in line for at least 30 minutes (if not longer) at the Breakfast with Santa at Ashton's school. I sat Reese in Santa's lap, and she was not so sure. She just looked up at him like "WHO are you?"

The second visit was at Willowbend Mall. We were already in Plano Sunday afternoon for family pictures. I suggested that we should head to the mall since it would probably be a slow time for Santa pictures. We lucked out because there was only 1 other person in line when we got there! WOO HOO! I will definitely try to do that again next year! Anyways, Reese was not impressed with Santa! In fact, she thought that he was a little scary!

She has now been saying Santa over and over anytime she sees a picture, ornament, etc. of Santa! Too cute!!

Hope you are also enjoying all of the fun memories of the Holiday Season!!

Fun Holiday Tee...

My neighbor ordered this fun t-shirt for her daughter to wear with her red tutu! How cute is it? It is a little hard to see the fun bling on it, but it is adorable!!

It is going to be so cute on sweet little Channing!

My Big Girl & Finding Nemo

Reese is 18 months old today!! I just can't believe that she is already 1 1/2 years old...My how time flies!

A little about my BIG GIRL...
She is talking so much and is even saying phrases.
She says "CHEESE" when I take her picture!
She is running all over the place!
When the phone rings, she says "I get it, Momma!".
She has been going to the potty some!
She LOVES bubbles and taking a bath!
She says "Here you go, Momma" when she gives me something.
She loves to play with her babies and feed them and put them down to go night night!
She loves playing out-ide (outside)!
She loves to eat i-ceam (ice cream)!
She LOVES her big sister and says "sister" & Ashton a lot!
She is MORE and MORE fun everyday!

FINDING NEMO
Johnny, Ashton and I dropped Reese off at Grammy & Papa's house this afternoon and headed to do something special! We didn't tell Ashton until we made it to Reunion Arena and got inside that we were going to Finding Nemo on Ice! She was SO surprised and excited! This was our first time to go to a Disney on Ice show, and it was GREAT! I was really impressed with the costumes and the skating, and I would really like to go to another one sometime soon. We had a lot of fun!!

Go Explorers...

Are you kidding me? I am not sure who picked the name of Ashton's soccer team. Maybe they like Dora or something. Seriously. It is a team of all girls...so you would think that it would be a little bit more girly! Oh well. Maybe they just assigned team names!

Ashton had her 1st soccer game today! Thankfully, it is indoor soccer since it was 40 degrees and raining!! It was going to be a long game since they only had 4 players! So, they all 4 had to play the entire 40 minute game! Ashton was doing great until she was playing goalie and another player's Dad apparently yelled to "GET THE BALL!" or something like that. Ashton was SO embarrassed that she wouldn't play for the next five minutes or so! Poor girl. That Dad is far too serious about the GAME and PLAYING WELL for a 4 year old team that is just learning to play and trying to have a good time too! She was begging me to let her off of the field! Not an option since they only had 4 players today! Sorry baby! Finally, she decided to go back and play! Maybe it had something to do with picking out a surprise at Target...Just maybe!

Well, the Explorers didn't win, but they played very well! I think that the other team had a couple of years of experience, and most of the Explorers haven't ever played soccer before. I am pretty sure that the Explorers only scored twice, but Ashton got one of the goals!! Way to go, Ashton!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

As I sit here thinking of all that I have to be thankful for, I realize just how lucky I am!

I am thankful for my sweet husband & darling daughters, my friends and family, being close to my family this year, being healthy and safe, that we have soldiers fighting for our country and the list goes on!

Looking forward to getting together with family today for some good food and a good time!

I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving too!!

Way to go, Cowboys!!

Happy Birthday...

...to Makenna & Patrick!!

This is a month of birthdays in my sister's family! My niece & brother-in-law celebrated their birthdays yesterday! We also spent Saturday bouncing at Jump Town for Makenna's 4th Birthday!! Oh my goodness...Reese had a BLAST jumping and going down the big inflatable slide!

I hope you both had a great day yesterday!!

Happy Birthday....

...to JULIE!!

A little late I know! I have been busy, and I completely forgot to wish my sweet sister a Happy Birthday on my blog. You probably would have been too tired to read it anyways since you headed back from the BAHAMAS on your birthday! No, I'm not jealous one bit...yeah right!!

Hope you had a good day!!

Breakfast with Daddy!

Today was our day for Johnny to sleep in a bit and have breakfast with his girls! We all 4 snuggled in our bed and watched cartoons for a bit! Then, Ashton got to pick the place. So, we went to McDonald's to eat and play! We had a good time!

Thanks for a fun morning, Johnny!

No School...

The director of Ashton's school has decided to close Ashton's school until after Thanksgiving! They have had so many cases of lice that they had to close the school to try to get it under control. Can you believe that?

Thankfully, we haven't been affected. We just got the call today at about 12:30 saying that they were closing the school, and please come pick up your child!

So, I am going to need to come up with some fun things to do in the next couple of weeks! 2 1/2 weeks without school is a LONG time!! Hmmm...I am thinking a trip to the zoo & out to lunch with Johnny...not sure what else just yet!

Ashton's Modeling Debut

Ashton modeled in the American Girl fashion show on Saturday! She was the Bitty Baby Ballerina, and she did a great job and looked so cute! I guess that I am a little partial though! Anyways, the only flaw in the fashion show was that the doll that she carried was a different ethnicity. That was just a little strange since she was the only one out of about 50 girls! Oh well! It was a very fun experience, and she already wants to do it again next year!! Now, we need to go to the American Girl Store in Dallas! That should be fun!!

Pretty cute, huh?

One year ago...

Wow! I cannot believe how much the girls have changed in just one year! Here are some pictures of Ashton and Reese last Halloween as a flower and a princess! Reese sure was tiny, and Ashton has gotten so tall too!

My little pumpkins...

We made one more trip to the pumpkin patch yesterday! We needed to get a bigger pumpkin to carve, and I needed some annual pictures (of course)! The girls were funny. Ashton was trying to tie a string onto a pumpkin and pull it, and Reese kept throwing her little pumpkin. I guess she thought it was a ball! We are all really enjoying this cooler weather!! Happy Fall to you all!!

Sippin' in Style...

I didn't think that I would ever called a sippy cup stylish, but this is pretty darn cute!! What do you think?

Cool day...

I think that the high today was 60 degrees (which was at midnight as the front passed through)! Apparently, it didn't get over 57 degrees! It was GREAT!! I LOVE being able to wear jeans and a LONG-SLEEVED shirt! I don't think that would have happened for at least another month in Houston. Here are the girls in their Fall clothes this morning! Ashton was also very excited that it was cool outside!
