21 months

Reese was 21 months old on Monday! I can't believe that she will be 2 in only 3 more months!!

A little about Reese:
-She is starting to enjoy dress up clothes and anything else girly (sunglasses, lipgloss, purses)!
-She LOVES playing outside!
-She loves to color!
She LOVES shoes and will put any on that she finds!
-Some of her favorite foods are raisins, bananas, grapes, strawberries, apples, and crackers!
-She is talking sooooo much!
-She wants to do everything her big sister does!
-I think SHE might just be ready for a BIG girl bed!
-She is very funny!
-She enjoys watching Blue's Clues (sits down and says "watch coo coos please, Mommy")!
-She likes to dance!
-She still loves her baby dolls!
-She loves to wear her crocs! (The funny thing about this is that she calls them Cocks)
-She is a very sweet and loving little girl!!

Ashton's pick...

Ashton got to pick whatever she wanted (within reason) for dinner last night! She was so excited about having her choice of breakfast for dinner! I made pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, and they were yum-my!! Can you guess who topped them with whipped cream?

I do have a little confession to make. I think that it is about time for me to open up my cookbooks or check out the Hot Mom's Cook blog and start making some things for my family since Ashton was wondering how I was going to make pancakes without a box of pancakes and the microwave. "Are you going to cook them in the oven, Mommy?" Oh yes, that is what she asked. I AM going to make an attempt to cook more for my family!! Now, I just have to figure out things to make that the girls will eat! They are VERY picky!

On the Mend FINALLY...

I very rarely get sick. Thank goodness! It is not very easy to be sick AND be a Mom! Since the beginning of January, I have had Bronchitis (which hit me HARD for about a week), a sinus infection, and now Bronchitis again! Man, can't I catch a break? I went to the after hours doctor last night, and I am FINALLY beginning to feel better after the steroid shot in my booty, ZPAC antibiotics and an inhaler! It is ABOUT TIME!! It is almost Spring....I've got Spring Break, Easter and a Birthday to get ready for!! I have got to stay well!! I don't have TIME to be sick!

Daddy time

Ashton has been counting down the days for her special day with Daddy. She got a new dress and shoes, and she couldn't wait to wear them! Well, Saturday was FINALLY the day!! Johnny and Ashton went to the Daddy Daughter Dance that is put on by the city yesterday afternoon. They danced, ate snacks & had their picture taken together by a photographer. They both had a lot of fun!

Weekend fun...

Here is the one picture from last night at the game! It was a lot of fun, and the Stars won!

After the game, we walked by Channel 8 and watched a little of the 10:00 news, which was pretty neat! Then, we went to the Ghost Bar at the hotel, which was on the 33rd floor. It was pretty crazy! A lot of people-watching for sure. I felt like we were in Miami or something. You could only sit down if you were ready to buy a bottle of liquor, and that would run you around $300 depending on what you got. It included mixers and a waitress to make your drinks. Then, the waitresses wore the tiniest white dresses and white go-go boots. The people wore some crazy stuff too! We had a drink & headed to bed! What a neat hotel! I definitely recommend it if you get a chance to go!

Johnny and I were really excited to get home and see the girls! was such a nice, warm day that we decided to go for a Jeep ride...

Apparently, a lot of people had the same idea! We met up with quite a few of our neighbors, and there must have been 12-15 kids outside playing! What a fun end to our weekend...

A little getaway...

We finally made it out of the house around 3:30 and made it to the W Hotel in Dallas around 4! Had a couple drinks, enjoyed talking without any "snack please, more juice please, go potty". Don't get me wrong...I LOVE my girls, but I am looking forward to the Dallas Stars game in a suite with dinner, drinks & dessert and an uninterupted night of sleep in a nice comfy bed! More details tomorrow...Off to the game...

Girl's dinner...

I am going to (a much needed)dinner with some friends tonight! We get together every month to try out a new restaurant, and we always have a lot of fun!! We missed the last couple of months since we were all so busy with the holidays. So, I am really looking forward to tonight!

How funny that my Mother-in-Law sent me this comic strip in the mail today...

Thanks, Laurie! Looking forward to our night out on Saturday too!!

Gotta love Shrek...

Reese and I were on our way home from running errands this morning, and she was watching Shrek in the car. I hear Shrek and Fiona (I think that is who it was) argueing back and forth saying "No, You shut up...You shut up". We pulled into the driveway about that time. I went to get Reese out of her carseat, and what does she say over and over? I shut up, I shut up! Thanks a lot, Shrek!!

2 dozen red roses! What a sweet husband I have!

Did I mention, I LOVE surprises!!!
