Preschool Orientation

I went to Preschool Orientation for Reese last night! I went back and forth on whether or not to send her this year or next. I was just not sure that I was ready just yet! In the end, I decided it would be good for both of us! So, she will start going on Wednesday and Friday beginning next week, and she will be at Ashton's old school!

I met her teachers, and they both seemed so sweet! She will have 8 kids in her class (5 girls and 3 boys), and she has 2 teachers! I had forgotten how much smaller the room was and just how tiny the little chairs are!
Reese is very excited about going to school! She has been putting on her "pack pack" for the last month and saying "I go to school...bye bye, Mommy!". Not sure what it will actually be like on the first day, but I am sure she will adjust quickly and have a lot of fun!!

Be on the lookout for pictures of my little school girl next Wednesday!

First Day of School

Ashton was very excited about starting school today! She came right downstairs even though it was 6:30 and still dark outside! She was pretty tired, but she got dressed the first time that I asked her to and was ready so fast! I think that she was much more comfortable after going to the school 2 times in the last week. It is official...She is a Kindergartener now!!

Reese did not want to leave Ashton's school!

Reese gave Ashton hugs & kisses before we said goodbye!

Ashton had a great day at school! I asked her what all they did and she couldn't really remember (of course)! She did say that her favorite part of the day was lunch, and she met some friends (but couldn't remember any names)! Apparently, it was a GOOD 1st Day!! I am very proud of my big girl!!

Happy Birthday to Mommy...

Last Day of Summer...

Unlike the majority of our friends, Ashton & I attended a Kindergarten Orientation for 2 hours this morning, and then we had the rest of the day to play! So, we did a little more shopping at Target & then went swimming with some new Kindergarten friends! Ashton now has 2 more familiar faces when she begins Kindergarten tomorrow! Yes, tomorrow is the BIG day!!

Meet the Teacher

We headed to Ashton's school for Meet the Teacher last night! I haven't been too terribly nervous about Kindergarten since Ashton is sooooo ready, but I began feeling a little anxious last night, and Miss Ashton was definitely nervous too!

I guess it didn't help to find out that this is her teacher's 1st year to ever teach! She just got out of school and everything is fresh on her mind, and she is VERY excited about teaching! She will be just fine, right?

My outgoing little girl definitely has a shy side to her (believe it or not). I wanted to get one picture of Ashton and her teacher, but she was not too happy about the idea!

So, here is a picture with Miss S, Ashton & Johnny!

And one more of my Kindergartener just for fun!

3 more days until school starts!

Our beach trip...

FINALLY! I put almost all of my pictures on Johnny's computer, and we just got around to putting them on my computer! Anyways, we had a GREAT time at the beach!! In fact, I am ready to go back. Here are just a couple of the pictures that I took. The girls LOVED the beach!!

The girls are back...

...and I couldn't be MORE excited!!
Johnny and I had a very nice weekend getaway to the W Hotel in Dallas while my sweet Mother-in-Law kept the girls! We ate dinner at one of our favorite restaurants on Friday night and just happened to run into our friends, Chris and Jen, as they were about to leave the restaurant! So, we were able to catch up with them (which was a lot of fun), had some drinks in the lobby bar, layed by the pool, slept late, came home and relaxed for ANOTHER night before the girls came home on MONDAY night!!

Ashton brought Johnny and I "a volunteer" from her trip! She got 2 toothbrushes from Gran's house, and she told us that it was our "volunteer" and wanted to know if we got her one from our trip. After talking a bit, we realized that she was talking about a souvenier! Too cute.
Thank you again, Gran! We had such a good time, but we are also very excited to have the girls home!!
