Gotta go! I have a babysitter for Reese today, and Ashton and I are going to have a special day together to celebrate! Movies, lunch, pedis! SO much fun!

We enjoyed a nice day with our family today celebrating Easter! We went over to my parent's house to have lunch with our families, hang out & hunt eggs! I hope that you all enjoyed your day as much as we did! Happy Easter!

Spring Break

Friday...My niece's 8th 50's Sleepover Birthday Party! I still cannot believe that Isabelle is already 8! We ate hot dogs, french fries and had milk shakes in Big Al's Diner, had a hula hoop contest, bubble gum blowing contest and karaoke! The girls had a GREAT time, and Ashton was SO excited about her 1st REAL sleepover with a lot of girls!

Saturday...We got up early and headed to Galveston, but we had to stop at one of our favorite restaurants on the way! We all really miss Lupe Tortillas...good Mexican food, a patio and a sandbox for the kids all in one! We need one of these close to our house!


Sunday...Got up, did a little shopping on the strand and then we met up with 5 other families (including my sister, brother-in-law & nieces) at the pool! We had a good time swimming, eating, drinking, etc. They also had a bounce house, face painting, music, smores, etc for the kids! Lots of fun! So much fun and no nap=ordering in pizza and out for the night!

Monday...Went to the Aquarium with my sister and family! The girls really enjoyed it! Reese was especially impressed with it all!


Monday night....After a 2 hour wait, we FINALLY ate at the Rainforest Cafe! It wasn't too bad because they had entertainment and face painting outside to make the time go by. The highlight of our dinner was the surprise VOLCANO that we got, and they sang "Happy Birthday" to Ashton a little early!


Tuesday...Packed up and headed to the airport around 10 to drop Johnny off. Headed to San Antonio to visit our good friends, Charisse, Bella & Lexie! Unfortunately, Miss Ashton was under the weather about 1 1/2 hours down the road, and we had to turn around and head home! Picked Johnny up at the airport. It was a good thing that we were able to detour back to the airport b/c I think that Johnny would have been sleeping in the airport with all of the flight delays due to storms! We were all very sad that we missed out on seeing our friends and going to Sea World, but we FINALLY made it home at around 10:30! Phew. We were SO HAPPY to be home at last...

We have had a fun Spring Break so far! Hope you have had a good one too!!

A NEW DAY...

I am thinking ONLY positive thoughts today! It HAS GOT to work. We have had a rough time around here lately. I have had bronchitis twice and a sinus infection basically lasting from January until last week. In the last month, Reese had a cold and an ear infection, Ashton had a double ear infection last week and woke up with the stomach bug yesterday morning. I sat with Johnny at the dr for 2 hours on Sunday with a very bad sinus infection! We are never THIS sick!! It IS all behind us! We WILL be well! Here are some pics that make me smile! Today is a NEW DAY, and all of the sickness is behind us! Positive thoughts and prayer are sure to work!!

Girl's Night Out...

We went out to my great friend and college roommate, Jenn's Bachelorette Party on Saturday night! We started out at Javier's for dinner! This is one of my favorite places to eat, and it was so good! If you live in Dallas and haven't been there yet, you HAVE to try it out! www.javiers.net The food is GREAT, and they also have some of the best margaritas! Then, we went to a couple of bars before Monda and I decided to head home around midnight! I am getting old, and I just can't stay out like I used to! Now, we are looking forward to Jenn & Vincent's upcoming wedding! What a great couple!

Only in Texas...

Is it 70 degrees one day & 30 degrees and SNOWING the next!!

The girls were SOOOO excited!! We had to get out in it and play before dinner tonight since it is forecasted to be 55 and sunny tomorrow! Crazy TX weather!!

Ruff life...

I was getting ready for bed last night, and I walked through the living room to get a bottle of water. This is what I saw...

Our weekend started off a little sad. Our good friends moved to Oklahoma on Saturday! We met these friends at church in Houston. They moved to Dallas last February, and we ended up moving in April. I have really enjoyed getting to know Michelle better, and Ashton has really enjoyed her friend, Anna! What a great family. We are really going to miss you guys, but we also know how nice it is to be close to family!! Good luck in OK, and come visit us soon!

On a happier note....We ended our weekend with a special treat! Yummy milkshakes!!

No more studios!!

Well, this is just about 2 weeks past due. I guess that I am trying to forget the day.

I had some pictures taken of the girls for a Valentine's Day present for Johnny. I don't know why I do this to myself. I guess I go to a photography studio to remind myself that I really prefer more natural shots of my kids. Playing outside, coloring, blowing bubbles, tickling each other...just being themselves! So, these turned out okay, but I won't be doing studio pictures for quite awhile! Something about a 10:30 appt, getting around to us at 11:15, forced smiles, chasing Reese, bribing Ashton to sit still and smile, cheesy props that they sat on (that I didn't notice b/c of all of the chaos), & not finishing until 1:3o. Oh yeah AND spending $100 on pictures that I don't just LOVE, and now I have about 100 sheets of them! GREAT.

Time for me to sign up for the photography class that I have wanted to take since Ashton was born!
